Well it has come down to this; I'm borrowing time from here and there just to get a few minutes at my bench. You've all heard this somewhere or sometime before, but it seems the hurrier I go the behinder I get. So little time... so much progress to be made! Here's all I have to show. It may not look like a lot of progress, but it does give the roadster a bit of a different appearance: Hosted on FotkiThe Hallock windschield will ultimatly get chopped, just enough to pretty much match the height of the roll bars... more the height of the windscreens on the Saltster configuration: Hosted on FotkiThe wires also give the roadster version a degree of elegance, sophistication and style... Hosted on Fotki...without compromising the essence of grace and speed! Hosted on FotkiBe Blessed

It might be slow in coming Wes, but it is coming along beautifully! This would certainly make a great pair of 1:1 show cars! I agree about chopping the Hallcock windshield-- the way it is now makes the cockpit look a bit cramped. Looking forward to seeing the chop. Fletch could probably chop it for you in, like 5 minutes? ;D Later and God bless

I guess that's the difference between building for yourself instead of others. And, the difference between building for Him instead of ourselves. I have Him to thank and Him to give all the glory to! He's at work in my life and it too has been slow coming. Amen

In Christ I truly appreciate that, Brother... especially coming from you! btw Just between us girls, it's no longer TRaKable!?. Well Brother, that's why we have NO Billet, the admin is a bit easier to get along with, well at least most days. With what has been going on TRaK of late I don't know how much longer I'll continue to post there. I don't know if it's just me or if the place has changed that much. Either way the Saltster is always welcome here and on NO Billet. BTW, the Kinmonts are too cool. I've seen them listed in Norm's catalog but had no what they looked like, may have to get a set for this build: Hosted on FotkiThe body has already been narrowed, I'll be using the 255/270 Ofy from RMoM. In Christ

In Christ That's a bit reassuring... at least I'm not alone in my observation of the changing tides under Bob. As for this little lamb (pictured in front of the livestock arena under the SHEEP sign), what body did you narrow and what wires are you planning to use? And, I've got a great source for those split wish bones... if you need? I the thread over on NO Billet? Be Blessed, Brother

Brother Wes, I went ahead and posted the build on NO Billet. Beyond, narrowing the body nothing else has been done with it, it's still in part gathering stage. nobillet.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=hotrods&thread=39&page=1The body that I have narrowed is from the AMT '25 T. the RPU body is pretty close to how it should look. The wires I plan to use are the Kelsey-Hayes from the Monogram '30 Woody, I'd love to use the photo-etched wires from RMoM, but I'm not sure I can justify using $50 wire wheels on a build. But, they are closer to those on the 1:1 then those from the Woody. What source do you have for the split wish-bones? Finding a good source for them is always a challenge. In Christ
