Saltster Progress 10-09-11 Decided to put some long awaited time in at the bench this weekend. The following will bring us up to date: Hosted on FotkiSecured the belly pan to the bottom. Hosted on FotkiRemoved the inner bracing, Hosted on Fotkiput in the frame, '34 Ford Radiator and the V-12 (first time in almost a year) Hosted on Fotkiand started to open the Rev II hood for the stacks. Hosted on FotkiHave any idea where we left off with just the frog-mouth stacks sticking out of the hood? Hosted on FotkiNow to wrap things up for a couple of days, until we make it back to the bench. It's like a ship in a bottle, all that goes inside goes in through the interior opening - frame then the V-12 through the hood and so on... Building in His Name

Talking to a lot of 1:1 rodders using the curved scoops, they'll tell you that with them turned with the opening turned forward that there is so much turbulence that the engine didn't run well. They turned the scoops around with the opening to the rear and the engine smoothed out.
Guess more then anything else it comes down to what you're willing to put up with.

In Christ Thank you for that bit of knowledge . I would be not comfortable driving this with the possibility of my face being covered in flame from a backfire . I know , I am awfully pickey what I would drive these days . I actually haven't been able to drive since 2006 . Thanx ..

Saltster Progress Only fourteen days left, before our NNL! Been getting up around 2 - 2:30 AM each morning this week to work on the Saltster's pose able steering.
