Any ifno on that Continenental Don? ;D I might let myself be caught dead in it, but.......that's interesting, fer sure Maybe a week ago I stopped in at my LHS and left very happy. Occaisionally I've seen some partially built kits for sale, but never felt right about puttin' my mitts on something somebody else started. However: ..when I saw this-- for $5! It was in the cart and true to the tag, there was lotsa wheels in ithere-- as well as lotsa engine blocks, manifolds, carbs, stacks, injectors, etc, etc! Then, I spied this one! and it was in the cart also! Everything there but the body, but....... that 49 FOMOCO frame fit perfectly in this here 51 Bel Aire body The black steelies slid underneath & I had me an almost OOBie what's still inna box ;D Then, to top it all off, when I got home, these were waiting for me in my mailbox, what I got in trade for a 235 Chebby 6shooter with a Fisher package. Always wanted me some resin piecrusties! Woowee! Thank You Lord!!! Now I gotta get to work Later & God bless

Don, that's the Lincoln I've always wanted 1:1. If done right that car with the suicide rear doors just screams gangster.
John, did you ask for forgiveness after stealing all those great parts. Man, I can't believe all the bounty you got for a 10 spot.
Great finds guys, very cool stuff indeed.

;D ;D Gangsta ride with a rollbar! Yeah Dave, guess I felt bad for Larry, the owner, so i made a couple 'legit' purchases as well. Larry told me the two boxes I scored were from his personal stash, and he just got tired of moving them around, since they just expanded not too long ago into a building twice as big as the old place. Andyhow, I finally decided to try some 1/32 truck duallies to see how they look on somethin' and grabbed this here Snapper God only knows what they're gonna wind up on-- as soon as HE lets me know I'll be posting pics. Also saw Larry had some new stuff. Saw this Stutz in 1/16th-- was waiting for it : I believe when I was a toddler, knee-high to a Twinkie, when I first saw this race car or one like it. and I was totally stoked! A toy Indy/sprinty type toy car that rode my dashboard for awhile got me back into this here madness a few years ago--PTL! Nice kit. I plan on a strictly out of box build for it, but lovin' that engine as I do, I may just have to do a bigger scratchbuild someday. Gotta go 'play' with me 'toys' ;D ;D Later and God bless

This is too funny! I picked up one of the Stutz's on Tuesday. I figured since I don't have any 1/16 stuff I wouldn't be tempted to do any part swapping and could just do a box stock. In looking on the net I determined that the model is not a Bearcat, which was a V8. The engine looks pretty accurate for the 4 cyl other than lacking a distributor and belt/fan system. The 4 cyl looked like it might have had dual plugs per cylinder whereas the kit only has one. This one will be box stock, but I'm going to get another one to detail. It sure looks like a fun build! ;D

Yeh Don, this is almost gettin' freaky-- I mean I know's we's Bros & all, but!!?? ;D (maybe somebody done cloned us ) That's interesting about the Bearcat runnin' a V8-- I guess i just always assumed all those early racers were 4 bangers I'm gonna hafta check that out-- another part of the hobby I really enjoy-- doin' research on the cars. Thanks Don-- guess we'll be starting our Stutzies the same time, huh? BTW, what you plan on wearing tomorrow? ;D ;D ;D Later & God bless

Oops John, I may have mislead you. Doing a little more digging the early Bearcats had a 361 ci. 4. The later ones appear to have a I-6. I know in some of my reading on Tuesday night one site said they were V-8s. Boy am I confused ('corse that's not hard to do)! 1915 engine; 1918 Bearcat;

No, it was in a beautiful yellow speedster. If you go to Google images, Stutz cars there is a lot of great pics. I'm definitely going to get another one to detail. It's too neat of a kit not to. Generally the"classics" don't do much for me, but the Bearcat and Mercer Raceabout have always interested me. BTW, unless you have one of my shirts from work, we're not going to match. ;D

Gee thanks Guys, I've been doing my best to avoid buying either of the Lindberg 1/16th kits. Then you just feel it necessary to post photos of the kit and then if that's not enough you go and post photos of the 1:1 engine.
Looks like a trip to the LHS tomorrow before heading out to the County Fair for day 2 of our public build time.

There has been some discussion about this kit over on another forum... I'll have to share a bit of my own personal history with this kit, and one other like it, later on today. Stay tuned... Have a very Blessed day in the Lord, as each of you has Blessed me, may the Lord Bless each of you!!
