HRT's intro

Greeting fellow modelers and beleivers.

My name is Tom, and I was invited to join by Fletch.
This sounds like it might be an interesting board to be a member of, without all the backbiting and posturing of other boards that I have been a member of.

A little about myself:
I have been a model builder for over 30 years, and enjoy building "traditional" hot rods and bikes, but will occasionally build a bike or NASCAR-type build. I like to scratchbuild a lot, so my builds may not be the most expedient in completion.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 3 lovely children. Nick is 15, Sara is 11, and Megan just turned 7.

Unfortunately, right now my wife and I are currently seperated because of my obstinence and self-centeredness. I have not been the godly man that she deserves, but am currently participating in Christian counseling and following the leading of the Holy Spirit, while getting soaking wet and diving in constantly to God's Word as often as I can. My wife and I have gone to the precipace of divorce, and I believe fully that the Lord is leading us gently away from the death of our marriage into a renewed relationship with each other and with Him.

In terms of my personal faith, I am a fundamentalist (NOT a fanatic) that believes that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God that is to be taken literally in context. I am also a pre-trib beleiver.

Brother Tom, it is good to see you here, I'm glad I stayed up late to send you the email on Facebook and that you decided to accept the invite.

Believe me Brother there are very few of us who would still be married if not for the healing power of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If you are following the guidance of the Spirit of God, you will succeed. Trying it on your own, not so much.

Feel free to post prayer requests, praises etc. The prayer request section is not viewable to non-members of the forum so feel free to post your heart felt needs there. The praise section is wide open as the world needs to see how God through the Holy Spirit is working in our lives.

As I'm sure you noted there are no long drawn out rules as we all know that we're under the microscope of the world and know how as Godly men and women we should act.

Brother, you and your family remain in my prayers. Through the Holy Spirit we can expect great things.
