Hi All, I'm another new guy, just discovered the site. I just turned 70 on Valentine's day, been a Christian since April of 1967. Been a modeler since 1948 or so, flying control line stunt competitvely for way-too-long! Much fun. I've been able to use the hobby as a ministry to modelers who are Christians and many who are/were not! PTL! Can it get any better than that as a modeler? My background is varied; avionics, flight instructor, stateside missionary pilot, industrial electrician, published author, luthier, musician, and most importantly, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather!!! God has blessed this terribly ordinary servant with an extra-ordinary life!!! Wow, what a ride!! He is so wonderful I don't have words worthy of praise for Him. Thanks for letting me in! Howdy Will! Just got done checking you out ;D .....was looking at your sites. You just might get me to buy one of your books! Gotta find out what happens with that double barrelled 10 gauge! ;D 8-)Absolutely love your guitars, and your site is very, very nice. Look forward to seeing some of your modeling work, or maybe even some guitar WIP pics here. Welcome, and God bless!

Thanks for the welcoming notes, guys. (And the kind words about my sites.) A Christian brother designed those sites for free, and I am constantly thrilled at the quality of his work. I hesitated to list my web sites for fear of appearing to join here just for the advertising, but finally decided to. (Maybe the flesh won over?) We all need each other, and "so much the more as we see the day approaching." This site is an encouragement just for the Spirit's speaking through people, let alone the modeling that draws us together in the first place. Ain't God good?! ;D Blessings, Will John 5:24

Welcome aboard Will, Had to get out the dictionary. Now I know what a Luthier is. I play electric guitar at my Church. Looking forward to buying a Roland synthesier for my Fender Strat. Watched a guy play one and was amazed when the guitar sounded like a saxaphone then a flute from fretting guitar notes. This is a great site where GOD can be praised without worry of offending the politcaly correct. Post some pictures of your models as we would love to see them Peace and blessings Pastor Chip

Thanks Pastor Chip, You will love the Roland! Other than the fact that I need four years of figuring one out, they are great! (Just kidding.) KEEP THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL!!! I purchased a Digitec GNX 3000 last fall, mainly for the digital recording capabilities, and the manual is thicker than my Bible! and certainly not as pleasing to read! I'll try to get around to posting some pictures soon, it's been a zoo here lately - our senior pastor got called to a different ministry, church planting, after 22 years with us. I'm on the elder board and we are the pastor search committee. I'm excited for our former pastor because God surely has great things planned for him, and I'm excited for us because He has exciting things planned for us as well! God is the supreme human resources manager!!!!!! Wow! Meanwhile, we elders are filling the pulpit during the search and it is sooooooooo good to get back to speaking more often! Have a great week! (And an even greater forever!) Will

Hey Will-- way back when I first started this journey with Jesus, I was going to a small Methodist church, maybe 60 people in the pews on a good Sunday. After having a couple pastors move on in less than a year's time each, we the people spent a good 6 months filling the pulpit. What a challenging, and growing, time it was for some of us! Some of us even wished it would stay that way, but as always, God knew exactly when to send another new leader for us to love, learn, and grow with. Enjoy your time filling the pulpit and waiting upon The Lord. Yes, HE is the supreme human resources manager Later and God bless
