Matthew 20:14
Take what belongs to you and go. I choose to give to the last worker as I give to you.
A landowner hired workers to labor in his field. Some he hired to work all day and others for just a few hours. When their work was completed, the landowner paid them each a denarius, a full day's wage. Each worker received the same wage regardless of how long he had worked. The first workers he hired were unhappy about the wages. They want to be treated fairly, according to their works, Surely the ones who worked all day should receive a higher wage! After all, we're good people. Surely our good works earn us some extra points in Heaven! Rather the judging his laborers on their works, the landowner instead treated them mercifully and graciously. If Our Lord treated us as we deserved based on our works, not one of us would be saved. Our Landowner offered up His Son as a sacrifice to make payment on our wages of sin. Jesus died for each of us grumbling, unhappy workers. We rejoice that the Lord has spared us from the bondage of hell and has delivered us from damnation. He has forgiven our sins, answered our prayers, and bestowed His many blessings uopn us.
We Give thanks, O Lord, for Your suffering and death as payment for our sins, Amen.

Rev, I seriously believe that Jesus used that parable so that we modern day Christians would understand that ALL will be saved if we call upon the name of Jesus. It doesn't matter how long we've been Christians, Salvation is freely give by faith in Christ. It doesn't matter if we've been Christians for 80 years or 80 seconds before we take our final breath. We all receive the same portion of grace because of Christ. Not based on how long we've been Christians.
I grant you it doesn't set well with our HUMAN way of thinking. But, then we don't truly understand Agape Love either.
In Christ
