In my Fotki I have an album of "Future Projects" the album grows faster then I can possibly build. If I built projects from that album alone I'd be kept busy for the next 10 years. Last week I picked up the latest issue of Traditional Rod & Kulture Illustrated. The back cover has a fantastic photo of a '29 Hiboy Sport Coupe. Seeing how I am a sucker for any '29 Hot Rod and having a Monogram '31 Cabriolet and a '29 Roadster Pickup cab.... well you get the idea. Hosted on FotkiThere are several differences between the Cabriolet and Sports Coupe. The biggest difference being the Sports Coupe has full frames around the door windows where the Cabriolet doesn't. There are several differences that need to be corrected to make the '31 it into a '29 all of which can be accomplished with Evergreen. There are lots of subtle things done on the 1:1 that won't make much difference in scale but there are several that will be included as well. The most noticeable things are the use of wide 5 wheels like those on the stock '36 Ford and the '32 frame pinched down to match the cowl. Stay tuned In Christ

Can't wait to see more on this one.... ;D Don, my best guess is it's somewhere around 20. I tend to build like this. Get several different projects underway, take then to a point where fill/sanding/primer are required. If putty is required I tend to let it cure completely so it doesn't shrink later. Several of the builds are waiting on parts from RMoM, Norm has gone from 2-3 week turn around on orders to a couple of months following the fall shows on the east coast. So, in the mean time I find and start other projects. In Christ

One of the major differences between the Sports Coupe and the Cabriolet is around the window openings. The Cabriolet has an area for the slider area for the windows to be raised or lowered, the Sports Coupe doesn't have that luxury. To convert the Cabriolet to the Sports Coupe this area needs to be removed in preparation of building the full door frame. Cabriolet window frame: Sports Coupe Door Frame, Better known as the Cabriolet window frame removed: Hosted on FotkiThe remainder of the door frame will be constructed out of .060 square Evergreen stock. Have a safe, sane and Happy New Years. In Christ

Well Dave, that's a bit of an ambitious project-- and a bit different for you! You're usually cuttin' chunks of door posts out and throwin' them away! ;D Looking forward to seeing those door/window frames take shape. That is one smart lookin' ride Later and God bless

Dave:
From one to another, that is a nice looking 29 coupe. I am still plugging away on my parts box 29 Roadster and things are getting interesting. I have two others that are getting nearer to the Git-R-Dun category. My 32 coupe is into the final assy. stage and my 36 custom is nearing that point as well.
