U R off on another, what appears to be a major build! Dig the direction! Just leave enough bread crumbs on your path so you can find your way back home... KUUTD! KK

Flo, this looks great, love the extensions, very cool. The '50 custom front piece is a great touch to add to the build. So, when are you going to chop the top? Might as well throw the entire kitchen sink of custom at it.

Keep 'em coming! Can't wait to see this one with the conti rear end between them fins Later and God bless

Thanks everyone. I really apriciate the replies from you guys. Dave. I have decided against chopping the top. The reason mainly because i have to many long term projects ;D I know lots of peoples have tolds me to chops it but i think HE wouldnt agree with me on it atleast not on this build. I know i will surely build an alomst replica of this one but with a chop. Kit karson: i cant really call it a major project ;D Compared to my mercamino and 48 lincoln(i will post those up too) this one is simple lol. John: thanks for the compliments. I think HE really did give me a nice talent to share with people. I am mainly doing this just for fun i have won 2 awards but yeah i never go to a show to win just to have funs. I did some work on it today. I got the fins pretty much done(wanted them pretty clean before i add the continental kit) I also fixed my quarter panel on one side and now i am working on the front fenders and gettin the hood to fit. Also c notched the frame to actaully get it close to tail draggin. Thanks and God bless Flow

Small update since mom is picking me up after school(well not tomorrow) i got to work on it some today.Got my fins smooth. Also got my ride heigh fixed with 2 airbags(each have only one o ring) a c notched frame, and a square cut from the floor so that the axel pumpkin will clear the floor(i will fill the hole so it doesnt look stupid). The rims on it at the moment are mock ups from a old build up but they represent what will be on there red rims(atleast i am planning on that color) with chrome caps and trim rings). The interior will also get some attention with some tuck and roll but that mayb be done on the weekend. Well enjoy the pics and i hopes you guys likes it. I know HE does. I also found this pic of a real kustom built in the 50s and i had a friend give me some history on it. Now for the model ;D Hope ya guys like God bless Flow

Looks like Fletch & KK are having a bit of influence on ya Flow--what with them red rims with the chromeys Looks good! Nice, very nice stance you got too. I was diggin' it when them fins were draggin' on the ground out back there, but......it really looks like a very driveable shoebox with the stance you have achieved. You gonna go with the lakes pipes like the 1:1? Later and God bless

Thanks guys. Glad ya like it.
John. I was gonna have the rear end actaully sit on the ground. But i had some decisions to make as if i put it on a table i run the risk of chipping or rubbing that paint off which wouldnt be nice plus to actaully get it to sit that low i would have to rebuild the whole rear frame as in making re-routing the frame and moving up the floor. As for lakepipes. I will see what kind of pipes i have laying round the parts box. I may run a set of 53 ford truck kustom pipes but i would need to mod the front fenders and quarters a tad bit to get it to look right.
I started digging round for my merc flathead. I found it and the first thing i did i scraped the kit dual carbs for some wierd looking carbs. They are wierd but they add a kool factor to it lol ;D
Tomorrow i will be working on it some more. I think tomorrow i will put the motor together and paint er up. I also will paint my rims(wont assemble them yet as i may change the color after painting the car itselve. I will also smooth out the front seat and ad some tuck and roll to it. I also will be finishing up my chassie tomorrow with wheel pins and all.
So be prepared for weekend updates ;D

I'll be prayin' fer ya so's you don't go toooooooo wacky with all yer roddin' stuffs. Post 'em when ya gots 'em. Later and God bless wells thanks john. Picking up the thing was fun and scary. There was more than once thay i prayed in one hour about safety. We went there and all of a sudden there are 20 people round the 58 truck. Then they took of the tranny of the other 235 and then they took a 4 ton uh front loader to get the motor in the truck and heck was that scary. But anyway right now its still in my 58 truck till tomorrow when dad and me will take its out. Right now there isnt much planned for it. I got a old mcgurk triple intake that will go on. 3 rebuilt rochesters and some hard core straight pipes(after i figure out how to make them). Buts anyways. I am glad HE has given dad and me protection today in picking the motor up. Well ontos that 49er. I gots the continental kits put in. The motor block, intake carbs and pulleys are painted. The rims right now my change to some parts box caps and rims dont know from what though. Also thanks to KIT KARSON i am getting some caddie lights for it. The spare is from a amt 36 ford that i bought. The interior is base coated in black. I decided to keep it stock. Well maybe tomorrow i will have some more pics or i may have another project posted up tomorrow lol Onto the pics Well whatcha thinks?

I think the Contie kit sets it off beautifully. I had never seen the 1:1 car before that is definitely worth the time and effort of the build.
It's all progressing nicely Flow. Looking forward to seeing this completed.

Lookin' awesome Flow!........but......... :-/looks like the front end could come down just a bit, unless yer gonna hang some big chromey bumpers close to the ground. Love the shadow line under the 'box', and if'n you looks close like you can sees how the space under the car ever so gradually tapers up, towards the front. Just my humble opinion, but that beautiful long rear & conti set up just make it look light in the nose---- unless you plan on makin' it a gasser ;D ;D ;D It is lookin' way sweeeet, Flow. Can't wait to see it in some kinda paint----whatchu thinkin' of---some candy, perhaps? Later and God bless

Can't wait to see it in some kinda paint----whatchu thinkin' of---some candy, perhaps? Later and God bless Thanks fletch. Glad you like it. John. I knew i should have explained the stance(duh on me ahaha). The way it is sitting right now with the front a tad bit higher than the rear is called the taildragger stance. Back in the 50s it was a popular thing to have your car(if it was a lead sled) to sit a little lower in the rear than in the front. Kinda why i did that. Plus i talked with a friend(i will see if he will join here too) and he said that some cars with the continental kit used to sit a tad lower in the rear(maybe cause of the weight i am guess). But anyway the nose may come down just a tad bit as my frame has a small warp in it. Nothing major just alittle. I will glue in the front first after its painted and slowly glue down the rear. The Color. Well right now i am thinking. I have the options of hok pavo purple metalic, hok purple pearl, purpleicious testors laquer, and mystic green laquer from testors. I am leaning towards the purple pearl though. The rims right now i will spray red(most of them wont be seen) We will see if they stay red though. Thanks for the input guys. The more the better on this one. Thankas again Thanks and God Bless Flow
