I don't know if any of you are following this reading plan or not. I have attempted to keep up with it. But, through Teri's surgery and recovery I'm only about 60 days behind in the assigned reading. I don't spend a lot of time in the Old Testament, I've always been a New Testament kind of guy. But, I am gaining a new appreciation for the needed sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I find it tough enough to just remain true to following Christ on a day to day basis without having to worry about which yearling lamb or goat or oxen to bring before the Priest to ask forgiveness for my sins. Then you have to remember how much flour to bring for which offering, and whether it is suppose to have oil or allowed to have yeast added to it or not.
As I've read more and more of the Old Testament, I feel we need to fall to our knees each and every day and again ask for forgiveness for our sins. I know once they are forgiven that God forgets them and we are the ones who bring them back up again. But, knowing what we know of life during the time of the Mosaic Law, we have no clue how good we have it thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon that cross.
Thank you Lord Jesus!
Blessings

Amen to that Brother Dave! I've often wondered if their faith was more than ours, easier than ours, different from ours, etc. Learned to not wonder about that, but just do my best to be in the present, seeking HIM. Hopefully God 'has it good' as we do, in that Jesus is The Way-- not only for us to God, but for God to us. Thank you Lord Jesus! Later and God bless
