Calm down Larry! ;D ;D Iheard thinned white glue (ELMOS.......I mean ELMERS) works well. 50/50 glue/water I believe. Pretty sure you can then use it to cover the tissue with also. Later & God bless

I would not use any water based or water near a balsa anything unless the desire is warping . I build a beautiful Stensen (7?) in the early '80's . I doped the paper to finish it . After it was dried and finished , I decided to remove some slight sagging . I pump sprayed the paper again . This time with water . A week later you could watch the wings and tailplanes warping . I removed the paper and tried to have it professionally done . Haven't seen it since . That was 1995 . There should be a book or so on that subject . Check your nearest Library or check online . Thanx..

Larry, although you can use white glue to glue the tissue to the frame, I would be very cautious spraying it with water to get the tissue to shrink. As Dimaxion noted, shrinking tissue and a balsa frame do not mix well together. If the airframe were from bass wood it would stand a better chance of working.
Clear Dope would be your best bet, if there is no place close to you check with Tower Hobbies. They mail order and without a doubt will have what you need. You also can also do a search on Google and see what other things might work that won't turn your hard work into a pile of broken sticks.

Fletch is right. Balsa & water don't mix. I'd go the Tower Hobby route too. Good e4xcuse to get some other goodies too IHS-ED-
