Chip, I had held off on making the announcement until Don gave the go ahead. I've been in the loop about the magazine for the past 60 days or so. The idea behind the magazine is to give voice to those modelers that don't fall into the mainstream of building. Those of us who still remember the glory days of Rods and Kustoms and build accordingly.

This will be a semi-annual publication, in full color with ZERO advertising. Don, is already starting work on the second edition and plans to have it ready in a few months. The great thing about the publisher that Don is using is they do digital printing on demand. So, the magazine is only printed when someone orders a copy. Unlike normal printing where a set number of magazines is ran no matter how many are actually sold.

Look for names that you know from forums and few from the other national publications.

I am currently working on an article I call Old School customizing. I used to (Before Christ) write for a couple of model car mags, Model Car Journal and Plastic Fanatic, back then it was all about Muscle Cars, now I am reverting back to my roots, Customs with skirts, lakes pipes, scavenger pipes, dummy spots, etc. Be sure to check out my cars I posted here.

Nathan, that is cool, you'll find Don Graham is a great guy to work with. I've know Don for a year or so but the guys from the club I belong have known Don for the past 30 years or so.

I look forward to seeing your work in the magazine. It is a very cool publication. I was truly excited about being included in the premier issue.
