Possible Prostock project-- computer mockup

The other day, as I was driving along in my '06 Grand Caravan, thinking about how to design and build a 'Rambassador', all of a sudden I got another inspiration to make my Caravan into a Prostock machine ;D ;D. Tried to imagine one of those huge hood scoops looming large in front of my windshield . So I rushed home, took some pictures of my ride and started working on the idea on my computer.


Here's what I'm starting with, the original picture.


Here I've removed all the background so I can get started on modifying the body, stance, etc.


Here's where I am so far. Don't know if'n I will actually do it in plastic, but just might. I did see someone had a resin? Caravan built up on MCM, so the body is out there. We shall see. For the time being it's 'on the bench' in my computer. Looking forward to seeing what happens. Comments, advice, are welcome. Seeing the 'look'-- chopped like this, also got me thinkin' of a salt flats runner too..........oh boy

Since I got me this nasty rash, don't feel much like doin much else but 'playing' on the computer, so did some wompin' on the Caravan, poppin' some real big prostocky like slicks & skinnies off'n a diecast VW ps'er, and then layed a scoop on the nose.....

......and flames, of course.

Hi John.
Lindberg did a snap kit Caravan,
but it was the body style just before
the one you have.
It was a pretty cool kit, but doesn't
have opening anything, nor an engine.
Considering your talent's that won't be
a problem. ;D
Finding the Caravan might be the problem.
But the big man allways provides!

P.S. I'll keep an eye out for a Caravan
around here. We have a pretty active club
and there's no telling what will show up at
the meetings.

Thanks Brother Don-- might hafta do some time on th' bay & see if'n anyone gots a Lindy snapper Caravan fer cheaps. Just got me some 1/24 prostocker wheels & tires (see me 'what did you get today' post) and I'm thinking just about any ol' Caravan would work. Thanks for keeping an eye out fer me
