'CruisaPalooza' is the annual big car cruise in Butler, Penna, about 8 miles from my place. I finally made it after moving back here 6 years ago. Took some pics on my way to volunteer at the Rails to Trails booth. Gonna hafta devote a day to the cruise next year (I keep sayin' that). It's a big, all day event, in which they totally close the main street right down the middle of the whole town, and the cars, maybe 400 of them spill onto the side streets also. We might see Flow in one of these someday....... ......but he'd probably make it a gasser ;D One of my faves....... ......a Hudson Terraplane. Wow! didn't see a hood for it-- methinks it would be real cool to pop the hood so's the loser could see what beat him! Usually rains on the Palooza, but it only sprinkled a bit this year Couple other faves. Shoulda heard the green one! Loved this Chevy Butler, Penna is kinda thought of as the birthplace of the 'jeep', but lost out in the contract awarding when the gov't was needing 'jeep' type vehicles for the wars. We gots all kinds of these here little 'Bantam' cars that Butler is known for. I think it is similar to the early 'jeep' prototype they were trying for. Cute li'l thing, aint it? I only got about 27 pics, but they're all here: public.fotki.com/V866/car-cruisemodel-pix/Later and God bless

Very Cool Brother John, there are some great rides there the little Butler Convertible is way cool, but my favorite is the '30/'31 Vicky, Hosted on FotkiI can see a heavily reworked Revell '31 Sedan body riding on white walls from a Revell '29 pickup with RMoM Kelsey-Hayes photo-etched wheels. I got a side elevation drawing of the '30/31 Vicky last year and it is going to be a fair amount of work to make it happen. Someday!
