Just found this board, impressed enough that I have decided to join a place where drama is not the norm! Hope to enjoy my stay here.
I'm an engineer, a civil one! That means I deal with roads, bridges and structures. I do sign writing (painting), pin striping and some airbrush work on full sized vehicles, semi trucks to classic Mini Coopers and all sorts of stuff in between lots of Hot Rods and traditional stuff in my portfolio.
We have owned muscle cars, Hot Rods, air cooled VW's and now own one of the most fun cars of them all a classic Mini 1973 with running gear out of a late John Cooper Works Mini, looks good, goes good and always produces a smile. People seem to love it because it is so different, especially kids unlike our touch me not Hot Rods we actually love to let kids get in it for a picture or two. Their parents are always amazed that we take the time with their child, the kids love it they finally gat to touch something at a car show for a change!
Model building style - Traditional Hot Rods & Customs, muscle cars anything else that's cool. I've built model cars off and on since the mid-sixties. Only recently returned to the hobby as full time as my schedule allows.
