Alright so i thought i would share this project that is taking up bench space ;D lol.
It was a started project. A revell 40 ford goodguys hot rod. I started it by gluing the motor together and then stopped. So now it has a second chance at life.
I started out with a ton of parts from the parts box. They included a 55 nomad straight axel, 3 sets of sterring wheels, 2 sets of rims, 1 hemi, 2 1/2 sets of carbs, and some other random stuff. It then used a 29 monogram ford rear spring and a 37 ford front axel from the panel delivery kit and made my signature front straight axel set up(no one else has done it so...). The rear got the parts box quick change(dont know where it came from). I started off by accidently breaking of one of the axel housings so out came the evergreen tube and i made new axel housings. Then my 40 willys project from amt donated the rear springs. Little fitting and some pins from spruce to hold the wheels and it was done. The interior then was gutted of the rear jumper seats and a kustom roll bar was fabricated just in case the car rolls on a run down the track ;D Next came the motor. The orignal motor(the hemi that isnt pictured) was stripped of paint and kustom mounts made(not to realistic but they do the job) The motor was then painted in flat black and some detailing done. The carbs i stripped because of ugly mold lines and injector pin marks. The intake was painted in a high gloss silver. The interior door panels i painted white with testors red metal flake inserts. Same treatment was done to the front seat. I also painted the rear end today. I found a good set of wheelbacks for it and painted them tesotrs flake red. The whitewalls are hand painted too.
Enought typing Whatcha think?
Hope ya like it. Any questions feel free to ask i am more than willed to answere any questions
