Got some color on the Coupe today, not 100% happy with it, it'll need to be color sanded and another coat or 2 of color laid down to finish it up before urethane clear. This is where it is at the end of the day today after a couple of coats of House of Kolor BC-25 Black. Hosted on FotkiAbout the only thing that I didn't attempt to duplicate on the Coupe was the roof insert, with the roof of the Revell 3 Window Coupe not being 100% would make it a bit difficult. Stay tuned, there's more to come. Be Blessed

Thats an interesting looking Deuce coupe you got there my friend, very nice indeed. I'm not much for solid wheel discs but yours look real good.

The body for the Coupe has been painted and stripped twice in the past month, it's back in primer, I'm hoping the seam in the roof decides to cooperate this time around.
Peace

Peace What is the nature of the problem, Brother? For some odd reason the seam in the roof looks perfectly fine when primed, but when the color coat is applied it shows up again. Hopefully, this time the superglue will seal it and it won't show back up. So far it looks good, we'll see what happens when it's wet sanded.

Yes Sir, it's been an interesting problem, I shot it with a couple of coats of ALCLAD Gloss Black Base coat, it's seriously gloss black. I'm going to let it dry for a couple more days and color sand it and see if it's ready to be cleared.

Got the body sanded out earlier today, the seam in the roof is finally gone. I'll shoot one last coat of color on it tomorrow and do the final color sand in a couple of days, then on to clear coat and hopefully get this build finished.
Peace

Well the insanity of this build continues. When we got home last evening I checked the body only to discover fingerprints in the body sides. Turns out that the ALCALD Gloss Black Base Coat never cured, even after 24 hours it was still tacky. So, the body, fender unit, hood and grille went into the stripper. Hope to have it back in paint tomorrow as it's suppose to be 80ish here, finally good painting weather.
Peace
