Thanks fellas Still doing bodywork to the 'Box, getting closer to 'welding' the roof back on.... ... anybody know a good body-man ;D ;D. First rough shaping after those filler panels set up. Layed a ruler against the windshield opening to get a line to trim to..... ... did the same to the rear, and trimmed both panel edges. Puttied things up, and 'toyed' with the idea of maybe going with another set of 'wheels' ala Wes's '30 Something Saltster....... , but don't think I'm going to ;D ;D ;D Thanks for following along. Later, and God bless

Been getting some things done........ slowly....... Carefully shaved the 'trim' from around the window areas (red arrow showing trim not removed yet). I'll be making frames for the plexiglass windows that will be going in all around. Finally glued the front and rear axles in place-- in faith, that they would line up wheelbase-wise with the 'Box'. Also de-chromed the push bar from the '40 Willys Coupe kit and glued it on. Sanded the roof pillars a bit, then glued it in place as well. Put some paint on it too...... ;D ;D ;D Set the body on for a look-see, and didn't like how high the rear end sat, so I cut a couple slots for the push bar mounts to fit into, and brought it down to where it will probably stay. I'll be fabbing up a bit of a box at the bottom/middle of the trunk lid for a 'chute. Thanks for following along, and may God bless

Looking good, John.
The 'box looks much better lower.

Thanks Don, Wes....... I'm having a lot of fun with this 'Box. Not finding any suitable wishbones in my stash, I set out to scratchbuild a pair. Not finding any styrene thin enough, and since my sinuses don't like CA glues, I got to stretch some sprue! I love stretching sprue! Got a bunch of nice stretchings and fabbed up these 'bones.... ... funny thing is, they look better in the picture here usually it's the other way around for me So now that that's taken care of..... I had to 'chop' the trunk lid, because of the location of the drag chute. To help me hold the body in position for that.... .... I taped the 'Box to a piece of 2x4. Helped to eliminate some of the shakiness..... ;D ;D Then got started on fabbing up a chute mounting plate. More later. Thanks for following along, and may God bless
