Had the annual Arts Festival in town over the weekend, and while on my daily walk this morning, I came upon this leftover classic....... Really suprised to see it's a MOPAR! ;D ( don't think it has a HEMI in it tho) 1926 Dodge Brothers coupe. Love everything about it. Has nice lines and color combo. Didn't see anyone around to ask who/where the owner was, so all I got was these cool pictures.... ... like this one of the rad cap/meter The Boyce Moto Meter. Seriously doubt Hitler had one.... So much about this car said 'Heavy Duty'. All the pivot points, on the shackles for the leaf springs, etc, had grease fittings showing. Little closer look at those big back brakes-- maybe a band on the outside for the emergency/parking brake, with shoes inside? Don't know if the tires are OEM, but I just love that they're "Gum Dipped" Firestones Later, and God bless

I was the only 'kid in the kandy store' Wes! Just me and this old Dodge-- nobody else around. Wish I could have met the owner and talked with him/her about the coupe. I think what got to me, was my assuming that it was 'just' a T Ford, that had a nice color, but when I saw that it wasn't 'just' another Ford T, my interest was really piqued. It looks so similar to what I'm familiar with-- the Ford body style-- but the fact that it is not a Ford is just messing with my mind I guess Nevertheless, it looks so 'rod-able' doesn't it? I may have to see what I can do with it in PhotoShop Later, and God bless

Wow you don't see many non-Fords that old.
Thanks for sharing, John!

A survivor for sure . The Dodge Brothers built Henry's T closed bodies *EDIT ; and Engines BTW . The Brakes are External Contracting . The Tires are Re-production OE . As are the Artillery Wooden Wheels . It would be a shame to destroy the Piece of History before you . This example was made around the time Henry took Horace and John to a field . He showed the Dodge Brothers the future site of his new Model T manufacturing plant . Told the Dodges he won't be needing their services and their Parts any longer . Then as the thought sank in , Henry drove off . Thanx ..
