Fletch:
I am in the process of getting back into the IPMS and I saw a message from you about 26-27 Ford Coupes. What company was it that made those bodies. And what do they suggest for the Chassis and the running gear for the rod version. They look like just the thing that I've been looking for. I have some ideas for some rods that I'd like to try. They are just the ticket.

Dave, the photo that was posted of the resin Coupe bodies is from Altered States Models. They are listed as being $25 plus shipping. They have 2 versions one has a 6" chop and the other is a 10" chop. They give no recommendation for chassis or running gear. You should be able to use the current AMT '25 T kit or fabricate your own chassis. Or you can go crazy and do as I'm doing and kit-bash one. From what I've seen of the Altered States offering, they are worth the price. I'm going to look for additional Revell '26 Sedans at this weekends Model Fest in hopes of building a second one to chop and build one along the lines of the 1:1 Coupe I posted on the IPMS forum. Hosted on FotkiAltered States website: www.alteredstatesmodels.com/The coupe bodies are listed under Miscellaneous Blessings

Thanks for the heads up on those bodies. I'll have to look them up when I get straight in our finances. They do look cool though. I wonder if they would work well over the Revell frame in the Lil John Buttera rods, as I have a spare of one of them that might work well. I remember back a few years ago on "American Hot Rod" Boyd and crew did a Rat Rod challenge and ended up with a Coupe and a Roadster pickup that they ran from Cali to St. Louis for a car show. That idea still is in the back of my mind, and that coupe would fit the bill along with a 29 pickup rod. Gotta try that.
