Had a mens conference last Saturday at the church I've attended off & on over the last 6 years. I ran the sound board there for a couple years straight, and then HE had me follow some other paths for awhile.
This past Christmas I attended a service at this church, to-- in my mind
-- just say Hi to some old friends, etc. Well, HE had me there for a Different Reason-- in answer to Brian's prayer 
Brian is the lead singer in the "In The Light" praise band, and he had prayed for someone to run sound for the upcoming mens conference-- and I showed up! 
The whole week leading up to Saturday was really challenging to all involved in the planning and getting things ready for the conference. We all just kept praying, trusting HIM, and walking/acting by faith, because it sure wasn't 'looking' like it was going to happen.
As a sound guy, I needed a complete schedule of songs, speakers, skits, etc-- and when each of them would be happening so I could get microphones ready, etc. Well, the devil was working overtime on all of us, and I didn't get that list until late Friday night and even then it wasn't completely correct. On top of that, I didn't get a chance to sound check a couple of the speakers before they went on stage 
But HE knew, and HE provided-- in HIS Perfect timing-- for all of us!
A lot of us weren't getting hardly any sleep all week leading up to Saturday, but I finally got a good solid 8 hours on Friday night, so I could do my part for a good solid 9 hours running the sound board Saturday.
HE kept each of us 'climbing' the mountain, and Saturday was like being on the mountain-top with HIM-- all day!!! Everything worked perfectly with the sound, with each of the incredible speakers we had, the lunch, all the 300 or so guys there-- just everything! All of us involved in it are still walking around going "WOW!"
HE really challenged us, humbled us, kept us going, and rewarded our persevering in faith, and HE was truly, greatly glorified all day Saturday!
