I hesitate to use the term "Happy" when it comes to Memorial Day. Granted it is the day when we thank those men and women who have served in the United States Military. But, the ones who we owe the most to are no longer with us as they paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. They paid with their life. It makes of difference whether it was at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, a field in Europe, or in the South Pacific. No difference whether it was a rice paddy in Vietnam or the sands of Iraq or the mountains of Afghanistan. We are forever indebted to these brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. As Christians every day should be Memorial day as we thank Jesus Christ for paying the price for our freedom. We are to live our lives as witnesses of the Savior who paid the price. To do anything else would cheapen His death upon the cross and the Gospel of Christ. Today, thank a soldier, place a flag upon a grave of a fallen comrade and above all else thank the author of our faith for the battle he fought and won. THE PRICE:
