The project is still moving forward. Some of the recent changes have required other things to be changed as well. Changing over to the 427 Ford engine required the use of the Revell kit firewall so the engine would fit properly. Then I noticed this morning that I forgot to drill holes for the Pontiac taillights. I'll be using the ones that come in the AMT Phantom Vicki and want them inset in the body. Not a big deal as long as the drill bit and the paint decide to cooperate. I plan to borrow a page from the Kit Karson Tubster build. The one thing I've known of for a long time is that KK can see a piece from a kit and envision it used for something totally different then it's intended purpose. Who would have ever thought of using a seat from one of Revell's Funny Car kits to make very convincing Bomber Seats. I sure didn't but KK did, I just hope I can do them justice compared to those KK has built for the Tubster. In case you haven't looked at the seats from the Tubster build here is a photo of one of them: Hosted on FotkiSorry Wes, I didn't have 2 red ones so it will have to start life with one red and one white seat (until paint). BTW, not a chance of having it done by Saturday for Billetproof, maybe Good Guys in a month.

Here's a before and after picthre... the seat is a cut down AMT '32 Vickie front seat! KK Hosted on FotkiI had gone through the build several times on the "Other Forum" and had missed the post with the seats. Then after you posted the link here I went back trying to figure out where you got the seats, I was truly amazed when I found the 2 pieces that you used. Then after a trip to the model cave, I found 2 only 2 Revell Funny Cars in the entire stash. The Vicky seats weren't that big a problem as there are several parted out ones in the cave. Between last minute details for Billetproof and life in general there is no chance of getting this thing completed. But you can bet it is going to be there it may be stuck together with Scotch removable Adhesive Putty but it will be there. Thank you Wes for the insight and inspiration. However, I didn't find any Legos to hold up the build, guess it's time for a trip to Freddy's Toyland and stock up! ;D ;D ;D

The wonders of Catalyzed Urethane Clear Coat. You can shoot it over any paint once it's cured without being concerned about how it will interact with the color coat. It's dry to the touch within 20 minutes and completely cured in 2 hours.
It is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Peace
