For the past several years the Mt Hood Mustang & Ford club has sponsored the Danielson's Thriftway Cruise-in. Today's Cruise may be the last as tomorrow morning the Thriftway building comes down to make way for a new Safeway store. SABA has sponsored one of the awards for the event for the past 9 years so, we get to set up a display. It's always a great time. SABA used to be run by a great bunch of young guys! Who are all of these old guys?

SABA has sponsored one of the awards for the event for the past 9 years so, we get to set up a display. It's always a great time. SABA used to be run by a great bunch of young guys! Who are all of these old guys? It's hard to believe but I've been a member of the club for 20 years, Ron Martinolich and Bob Robinson have been members since day 1, which was back in February 1972. Time doesn't stand still for any of us. Next project Dave? Nice lookin' show-- hope it isn't the last. Later and God bless. It's a real possibility John, it's a 1931 Chrysler running a 383 Tri-power, this thing was way loud and was seriously out of time, ran poorly and constantly back-fired but it was cool. As I'm sure you noticed I took lots of photos of it inside and out. Even if it doesn't end up a project there is a lot of the building style that I'd like to adapt to scale modeling. We're all hoping that it won't be the last Cruise-in there, but at this point it's up to Safeway.
